Community Archiving Project

AMCF officially launched the Atlanta Masjid Community Archiving Project with a successful volunteer kick-off event. Under the leadership of Morgan Mathews, our volunteer project manager, and Dr. Su’ad Abdul-Khabeer, our lead advisor, an archival specialist led the 2-hour session where volunteers were introduced to the archiving process.

Participants learned key archival techniques, gained hands-on experience with historical materials, and worked together to organize materials that capture the unique history of our community.
