External grants secured
One key function of AMCF is centralizing fundraising efforts to maximize efficiency and expand resources for our school, masjid, and community initiatives. In 2024, we secured ~$200k in grants for our community.
Through energy assessments, AMCF identified potential annual savings of over $14,000 at Mohammed Schools and more than $5,000 at the masjid, achievable through targeted facility upgrades. We submitted a grant application to the Department of Energy (DOE) with TechWerx. Among 738 eligible applications from across all 50 states, the Atlanta Masjid was selected as 1 of 22 finalists and one of just two congregations chosen for this prestigious funding opportunity valued at $100,000.
In addition, we secured a $68,000 grant from the Universal Values Coalition to secure archival quality storage materials as well as training to push forward the Community Archiving Project.
